Job Description:
The Middle School Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing student-center, multisensory instruction in Language Arts, Math, and Science. Candidates must possess a current teaching certificate in elementary education, preference will be given to special education or reading specialist certification.
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Education with a current teaching certificate or appropriate licensure.
Preference is given to Special Education Teaching Certification and/or Reading Specialist
Experience using technology for instruction.
A passion for teaching students who learn differently.
Strong classroom management skills.
Organized and thoughtful planner.
A whole-child approach to teaching.
The ability to be flexible and work well with a team.
A lifelong learner who embraces professional development opportunities.
